I recently installed one of these (speed controls) on my 360 for pitch
(my rudder trim is slow enough). The key point is that it does not
reduce the torque when speed is reduced like the MAC control does. The
unit also has a neat pilot/copilot control function, although I did
not utilize it. I have not done extensive testing, but it works
great so far.
I used the flap micro switch on my AOA system to drive the hi/lo speed
trigger. I spoke to Bob (who makes them) at Reno an he mentioned he
was working on a variable speed unit driven by the pitot system.
