Scotty:
Porting (flow balancing) does help improve balance and smoothness. In some cases it improves HP by making the cylinders more volumetrically efficient. It is not as helpful with Millennium cylinders as they are pretty good right out of the box.
As it turns out, polishing can actually be counter-productive as it has been shown to create turbulence by not having a good boundary layer. As a result, I've ported (flow-balanced), but not polished and have had nice results.

Hi Gang, Can any of you guys with LNC2's tell me about your before and after differences when you went with higher compression pistons and porting/polishing the cylinders? Thanks, Scotty G www.UnleashedAirRacing.com www.WarbirdAeroPress.com www.SeptemberPops.com |
