This is true. I have found, however, that the single speed is plenty. I fly the overhead approach often, in which the plane decelerates fairly rapidly from 200 to 90 knots and the trim keep up just fine. Remember, these airplanes don't require much input to effect pitch change to begin with, so a little pressure until the trim takes it out is all you need the vast majority (say 99%) of the time.

Sooo, my two cents is that while a nice gadget, it unnecessarily complicates the system...something I've been taught to avoid in airplanes....
