And, incidentally, a magneto will hardly notice a nearby lightning discharge (a few hundred yards away) that will kill all the electronics in an EI system.  Yes the EI system can be designed to be protected against that, but only if the designer knows what they are doing.  The reason some of us are EI-phobes is because we are afraid that it may be designed by a team led by a self described "arrogant ass" like you, or worse yet, actually designed by someone like you.
