There was no way the outback gear was going to fit into the stub wing without removing the core material from the gear doors. Then I noticed a picture on the Options Catalog which showed a LNC2 with the outback gear installed backwards from mine. So, I put a question out here on the list. Hollis Helms answered my question and told me about Orrin's plane. That was the one pictured on the catalog. According to Hollis, Orrin reversed the gear to take advantage of better clearance. Hollis said he tried it and it worked fine. So, the very next day I reversed my gear, and presto chango.....all my gear clearances went away. I also checked the gear to see if it changed the toe, chamber, and vertical level positions. Everything checked out fine! So far, the only down side that I can see is that you have to remove the gear door to change the tire.....no big deal in my mind. Hope this helps, Curtis Krouse N753K >1.
