I used the pop rivets to attach the hinge to the wheel well, but countersunk
screws to attach the other half of the hinge to the door itself. I also had
to use a flox filler between the pop-riveted half and the wheel well to keep
it straight enough to work.
I did NOT install a screw where it would interfere with the aluminum nose
wheel strap that goes around the tire.
By the way, I have an 80 mil (that's 0.080 inch) aluminum door. I'm told
that's the way to go to prevent heat-induced warping.
