A bit of advice on fillers from someone who paid
dearly for the lesson: DO NOT use polyester based fillers in any place
that has the slightest chance of flexing once you're flying. It dries out
and cracks if flexed. If that happens to occur after your paint is
on, the cracks go right through your paint. I had this start to
happen along my upper/lower fuselage seam even though we put 2 BID over it
inside and out. To fix it and repaint my fuselage cost me about
$7500.
