Hi Scott
I visited your site and liked your canopy latch ideas. I'm not happy with
mine or the factory one. I would like to "borrow" your design
if you wouldn't mind. I now have a deadbolt type mechanism but it lacks the
ability to suck the canopy down.  Are you able to operate the latch from in
and outside? I would appreciate any details either by mail or through
Marv's site.

Don,
I operate mine from the outside or inside. it is just a modified Lancair
latch kit. please note that the kit weighs (I'm estimating)25 lbs. I used
aluminum to reduce the weight and number of layups the kit required onto
the rollover structure and to help in lining up the mating latch
mechanisms, which looked to be difficult if one had to build up lots of
layups. I pop riveted the parts in place, tested the locked fit, then
potted them in place. They lined up perfect.

Borrow any ideas, I am always glad to share them. now if I could just test
them....

Scott
