I can tell you about something that was wrong a few days ago. Had to be moisture in the system somewhere. The engine was surging. Thought I would have to make emergency landing, but it straightend out.Temperature was 8 degrees above zero.
Add a couple bottles of isopropyl alcohol to each tank test flew it. That fixed it. Flew to Florida. Much better here.  To me, water is bad.
