I have managed to bend the nose gear fork on my 320. Kit Components,=20
(Lancair), (Aerocraft Parts), doesn't have the fork. Joel at KCI, says=20
that Esco has quit furnishing this part and they are looking for another= =20
source. It did not have a part number in my manual.

Meantime, any= one=20 out there have an extra Nose Gear Fork? I could also
use the main gear=20 casting, GM2 (GM002).

We still need to construct coherent lists of builder assist centers, od= d=20 part suppliers, DARs, test pilots, etc. Currently, we have the old http://www.lancaironline.net/&nbs= p;builders=20 list, but it is hard to find someone by location, a problem partially solved= by=20 http://www.frappr.com/lancair&nbs= p;.

Now that Kit Components (Lancair parts sub group) has been replaced by=20= the=20 seemingly separate organization, Aerocrafters (http://www.aerocraftparts.com/),= sans=20 personnel with knowledge of the past, it is up to us to help ourselves. = ;=20 Remember that Aerocrafters is a business and must sell parts to remain in=20 a business generally focused on supporting Lancairs. Just because= =20 Chin tires (Not For Highway Use) can be obtained elsewhere for a few bucks l= ess=20 may mean that Aerocrafters will ultimately succumb to the usual consequence=20= of=20 being unprofitable. I know I have done my part by breaking so many thi= ngs=20 and replacing them thru KCI and its' follow on Aerocrafters.

Now Don, you have an additional responsibility to help keep us safe by=20 explaining what led to the bent nose gear fork and, even more so, the need f= or=20 main gear castings.
