 One point to keep in mind is that 25-50 degrees rich of peak EGT yields the
 highest values for CHT. This is one thing I suspect the Advanced Pilot
 Seminar guys might say. They are big fans of run lean partly because this
 leads to lower CHTs. They might also say that if you run rich of peak, run
 well rich of peak, at least a high power settings. The ideas behind this are

 I haven't a clue how much following their strategies would lower the temps.
