Next Weekend! All Lancair pilots are invited to a fun fly-in on the
Eastern Shore of Virginia. It is a beautiful area between the
Cheasapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The event will be held at
Campbell Field, a turf strip. For pilots not wishing to land on grass
Accomac County (MFV) is just a few minutes North and we will have a
shuttle picking up people there. Simply call on unicom 122.8 prior to
landing at MFV and we will have someone on the way to pick you up. MFV
will be giving a fuel discount to fly-in attendees. Their
fuel is already the cheapest around.
We will be serving lots of food including lasagna, baked ziti, burgers,
sausage, and Eastern Shore grown clams. Don't miss it! Also, for those
interested we will be touring a beautiful vineyard operation just down
the road. While you can't sample the wine if you are flying you might
want to pick up a bottle or two.
As a bonus for attending you are free to comment on the lack of
progress on my Legacy! Maybe some much needed brow beating will get me
back in the saddle again.
