 Developmental issues regarding induction airflow and cowl design led numerous
purchasers to go with the recip alternative.  Training issues over engine
controls were also on the table.  It would be worth in-depth discussion with
Thielert on the engine failures of the early 135hp before moving too far in
this direction.  It's a great long term solution.
 
 Got my input from Thielert both this year and last at OSH on a prepurchase of
a DA-42.
