Mike,
Talk to Airwolf Filter Corp at 1-800-326-1534. They just came out with
their kit AFC-W347-A which is STC'd for the IO-550 in the Cirrus SR22. They have
drawings and all parts to install with the kit, including a new oil
return tube with a port for the oil return from the separator. The kit was $595
and works great. The installation should work on your Lancair with very
minor modifications. The separator mounts on the rear of the engine
baffle.
Prior to the installation we had a very oily belly and were blowing out one
quart every 6 hours when with the oil level above 5 1/2 quarts.
The separator solved the problem. It does not require a discharge from the
vacuum pump, but their is an air port for heated air from the top of the
baffling to try to keep the separator temperature above the dew point in the
winter.
Call if you have any questions.

Jim,
I looked at the Airwolf/Walker and it requires some air from a vacuum
pump. I don't have one so I moved on, still looking. How can the
Airwolf work on a Cirrus without a vacuum pump?
