I'm in need of a decent cabin heat valve that uses 1-1/2 inch SCAT tubing.  The CHV-1 valve I bought from Lancair a few years ago (not yet installed) seems rather poorly made -- the sealing plate doesn't seal, the pivot points (rubber grommets) provide very high friction, and the valve body is aluminum rather than stainless steel.

The stainless steel cabin heat valves I have seen (and I actually have one) use a 2 inch SCAT tube -- they are a little bigger than would comfortably fit.  These are made by Aviacomp and sold through Aircraft Spruce and Vans Aircraft.

I could always take apart the 2 inch boxy valve I have, and copy it in a smaller size, but I'd rather just buy something already made.

Anyone got a good idea?
