IF the timing is right, and the fuel flow
is set up right, you can not only run a TSIO-550 for two hours at 2700x38,
but you can do it with the same engine and 8.5:1 pistons.
You could probably do it for a couple of
hundred hours.
The trick is to get it set up right and
keep it cool.
