All,
I certainly didn't know the people, but they certainly are missed.... I do
however, attempt to learn for the situations and factor it into my flying.
When I purchased a new TAA (MFD, and IFR certified GPS) airplane - a 2004
Cessna 182T with G1000. I also needed to take the FITS course that Cessna
offered to become insured. As a part of that course, they gave us a course
that the Kings developed based upon the presentations at OSH, and SNF and
others locations. It's called "Practical Risk Taking". (BTW, it also
qualified me for an additional 10% discount on insurance :) ).
I saved a couple of PDF's that came out of that course and while I probably
am breaking every copyright law around, I'll risk it and share those with
the group. This course is a very good one and can be taken on a PC via
CDROM. They have distilled it down to a couple of acronyms and guidelines,
that if utilized, I'm sure will save lives.
Enjoy... And buy and take the course... :) They have 3 out in the series.
The basic one, a weather one, and a landing one. And Avemco honors them for
the incremental discount.
