We’ve tried everything to get ACK ELTs to stop false
tripping. Even with ACK in our back yard, the most effective solution we
have found is to replace them with an AmeriKing.
An even more alarming problem is that I’ve had more
than one ACK that wouldn’t trip at all via the G switch. I don’t
know how they have avoided an AD.

Has anyone had any luck in correcting a
ACK-E01 ELT which triggers during VHF transmissions? Would a balum work
on the telephone four conductor that connects the switch panel and the unit?
