I have the same trouble with my player wired through a Garmin 340. I passed on the info to my electronics man who will adjust the 340 gain but reckons the step up transformer is a bad idea with this panel.

<I wired in my music input/output to my intercom today. I plugged in my MP3
player and it worked fine--except---the only volume control is on the MP3
player>
