I thought I would follow up on my experence with the plugged flow
divider.
I removed the unit from the plane and removed the top per the
instructions. I did not remove the bottom, I should have. I
cleaned and cleared the block, plunger and diaphram. Blew everything out
and looking down at the metering slots they looked clear. Reassembled
and reinstalled in the plane. Did a flow check and still had low flow on
the bad cylinder.
OK back to the shop and take it completely apart to clean. To make a
long story short with the bottom removed I could see the metering slots
better and yes the bad acting cylinder had a bit of dirt stuck in the
slot. Got it cleared and reassembled the unit.
One note, if you are going to work on the flow divider order an o ring
or two to replace the one on the bottom cover. You can wait for the
origninal to shrink back to shape after all the gas exposure, but a new one
will fit better.
The unit is back together and tomorrw I will do another flow test.
Don at Airfow Performance was very helpfull. The cleaning was as easy
as the manual and he described. Just don't cut
corners. Yow will probably not be able to clear the plug without
removing the bottom cover. He sent me a couple of o rings to replace the
swollen one at no charge.
Hope this helps others

Has anyone had experence cleaning an Airflow Performance flow
divider. The instructions in the manual sound straight foward. I
am concerned about actually clearing the restruction. One cylinder has
about 1/2 the flow of the other 3. The engne does not run very well that
way.
It is a IO-360-A with a Airflow Performance FM-200 injection
system.
Any input would be apprecaited.
