Barry, Just a quick thanks for your work on this. It's appreciated. I have my room reserved and am ready to keep my eyes on lead. A few questions that others might also have: 1. Can we arrive early on the 29th? In other words, what is the time of the first activity on the 29th?
Ground school will start in the morning of the 29th, time still TBD. Ideally, everyone will be there Thurs. evening so we can get through the 3 hour ground school on Friday before lunch and have all afternoon to fly.
2. What exactly do you mean by a vernier throttle? Is that a typical push pull, or one that is more like a prop control?
Yeah, the one that's more like a prop control. You are CONSTANTLY adjusting the throttle so it needs to have complete freedom of movement at all times. It is a safety consideration.
3. Do you require 'chutes? (In all reality, with the forward hinged canopy, it's unlikely I'm getting out of this thing...)
I hope you read the T-34 manual better than you read my posts! LOL! :) All the personal safety equipment is recommended, but not required. I agree with the Lancair, though I'd hate to not have it in a situation you might be able to use it. I'm still undecided on that one myself...though I ALWAYS wear one (and all the other stuff) in the warbirds.
Thanks!
Sure, it's what I'm here for...
