I had some correspondence with Vern as I thought that if the cylinders were bigger in diameter they might overcome the problem I have with my LC20 360 RH door staying open.  As you can see from his reply only the stroke is different..  I was looking for more power out of the cylinder.

I would be interested to know where Frank Romeo read what he did about the improved cylinders and if I can get hold of it.

I am currently flying without the inner door.  Does not seem to make a lot of difference but then I am not a speed freak!!!

Hi Ian,
Ok I took some measurments of both the Legacy cyl and the 320/360 cyl
and here's the comparison. Inside dia. is the same in both cylinders.

4712 Legacy cylinder Barrell length........7 15/16"
                                   stroke................5 7/16"
                                   rod dia...............1/2"
overall length rod fully extended...........15 1/2"

HC-01 320/360 cyinder Barrell Length.....8 5/8"
                                      stroke..............6 1/8"
                                      rod dia.............3/8"
overall length rod fully extended...........17 1/4"
 Hope this helps some,
