I did so that my owner/amigo would have the flexibility to go above 3250# and be insurable in case he (again) runs off a runway in snow. His home base is either Chicago or his IVP hanger in Eagle River, Ws., near his huge home and "the Lodge". Must be nice. Anywho, long story short, I was uncomfortable increasing the gross and would hope 90Y never approaches 3500# @ T.O. The damn airplane is very hot for the average guy to handle at ANY weight. I was a professional pilot for a time with Evergreen of Alaska, Rotor aids Evergreen Oxnard and Flying Fish Inc. (CV 880F). Lets not encourage this high gross stuff. The outcome will only be misery and yet higher insurance rates! W.P.Dodson 1895740IA, BSAME Northrop Institute of Technology '69
