The injectors will work just fine with no differential pressure across the fuel injectors... but they work a lot better with some positive pressure differential. This is one reason that turbocharged airplanes with intercoolers often run much smoother than normally aspirated engines. You get the benefit of the pressure drop across the intercooler - - so that the upper deck air to the fuel injectors is always at or near a suitable "delta" for nice airflow across the injectors and better fuel atomization.
