Does anyone have a picture of aircraft jacks that are made from a hydraulic
bottle jack welded onto an angle iron stand? I'm looking to get a welding
friend of mine to make up a pair and it would help tremendously if I had a
picture. (I'm not a very good artist/draftsman)
Thanks,
Curtis Krouse N753K
[There's a picture of a very nice jackstand on the LML homepage which was
submitted by Jens Jensen. It's in the Attachments area and dated 11/12/98.
I built one of these things out of about $35 worth of steel in a few
afternoons and am pleased to report that it works great. I don't have
any shop drawings but your welder friend could probably sketch one out
based on the photo and some dimensions taken from your airplane. (That's
how I did mine.) I hope this helps. <Marv> ]
