Dear Marv,

In reply to Scott Dahlgren's query about  the suitability of car oil
filters there was a fatal crash of a lancair in Australia due to the use of
a "Ryco" car filter. It appears that the glue holding the paper filter in
place may not be able to withstand additives in aviation fuel and then the
cartridge gets ingested into the oil-line producing total obstruction.
