We used a high quality black wing walk sold by Ray Allen (makers of the trim servos).  We cut 3 strips, about 1.5" or so wide, spaced about 1/4" or so apart.  We tapered the leading edges so the outboard strip's edge is about 1" or so shorter than the inboard strip's edge.  This one done to give a more sculptured look to blend in instead of standing out like a sore thumb.  It actually looks quite nice and comes in very handy for those days is too rainy, windy or you forget to put out a mat.(sorry for the poor quality picture; it was the best I had).
