Peter,
The wing walk I used is = the stuff Ray=20 Allen Co. sells (www.rayallencompany.com) = .  Gary=20 Menzeimer will cut you any size you want.  It only comes in black = and=20 cleans up pretty well.  I believe the material is made by 3M and = it's=20 somewhat rubbery in texture.
If you want to try some = clear=20 material, I'd check out the new stuff offered on page 131 in the current = Aircraft Spruce catalog (with Nemisis on the cover) .  That only = comes in=20 16" X 30" pieces though.  That might be large enough for a 360 or = Legacy,=20 but I don't think it would be adequate for my ES.
At one point, I had to = remove my first=20 piece to do some touch up work on the clearcoat on my wing.  The = adhesive=20 had to be removed with some solvent, but it all came off.  Before I = put a=20 new piece on, I used the roll-up non skid stuff that goes under area = rugs and=20 found that even the slightest breeze blew it off the wing, usually = before I=20 could get out of the plane.  You also have to deal with where to = put it=20 once you're inside the plane.
The one solution that I = personally=20 never even considered was painting on the wingwalk.  At least with = the=20 other stuff, in the event it becomes worn or damaged, you can just pull = it up=20 and replace it.
