 After reading about all the difficulties in lubing the tube I'm tempted to
 drill a small hole in the tube at about the halfway point so lube can be
 injected there.  Make sense?  It will be much easier since I haven't yet
 installed the cable, but I would think that with careful work one could put
 a hole in the tube with the cable inside.  Perhaps by turning the drill bit
 by hand.

[It might be better to get a set of gasket punches and use a small one to make the hole in the tubing.  I picked up a cheap set at Harbor Freight and have found countless uses for it along the way... this would be one of them.  <Marv>     ]
