Hi gang,
A little while ago, I wrote and surmised that I had a nose
gear shimmy problem. After taking two others flying, we have all come to the
agreement that it is not a nose wheel shimmy - it has to do with the main wheels
and the brakes. The shudder only occurs with braking, and is worse with harder
brake application.
My Lancair 360 has the Matco's.
I'd like to hear what you guys think. My A&P/pilot friend
thinks I should replace the brake rotors and see if that helps. (Anybody know
the part numbers off hand?) That does seem to be a good idea. The airplane only
has about 392 TT, and I am awaiting new tires and tubes from Aircraft Spruce
(Nov deliv- backordered...).
Your thoughts are appreciated. Thank you.
