To make a long story short.  If you are going to be the only one to ever fly the plane then you don't need them.  But right now is the best time to put them in and the extra cost and hassle will pay for itself in the long run.  Remember the plane will probably last longer than you,

You are right...  One never knows when they might want to fly with an immersion suit on, thus making the fixed rudder pedal pedal position uncomfortable because of being pushed forward in the seat.

 

My pedals are in a different position summer to winter.
