    I used to teach motorcycle safety and one thing I drilled into my
students was...  "There are only 2 kinds of riders...  those that have
fallen down, and those who will fall down".

    The air switch is a good tip.  Thanks.  With the addition of simple
relay logic you could add a gear up warning buzzer/bell so if you get to 70
(maybe 80 would be a better mark) and the gear isn't down, the klaxons go
off.
