I hope all is well. I am sure that Wesley is running around and getting big. What a handful they can be. I had recently e-mailed Robert Williams about some info and have not heard back from him in some time. In my prior correspondence with Robert, he is amazingly quick at responding. Is he on vacation or on reserve duty perhaps? Please advise. Lastly, as you may know, my plane is building built by Arnold Holmes, owner of Semloh Aviation Services in Edgewater Florida, down where Charlie Kholer lives. There have been some items that have come straight from the factory that my builder has had to correct. For example, during the build shop, Kerry and I installed the aileron control boxes. The pilot side was installed to high and would not allow the elevator control rod to pass over it and had to be modified. Additionally, the rudder sits on three "hinge pins" . The hinge pins are mounted to phenolic block on the vertical stabilizer. This was all done in the Philippines. Only 2 of my 3 hinge pins line up to accept the bolts. Arnold has had to repair that as well. I have asked Arnold to photograph and to document these matters. What is Lancair's position as far as reimbursement for these situations? We are not talking about an astronomical amount of time for Arnold to fix these items. I do however feel that $4,000 a week for the "fast build" should result in the control boxes being mounted properly, and that the kit itself should come with all bolt holes lined up. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks Craig Blitzer
