The original springs worked all right for one side only, as you describe. Now I use the lighter springs on the passenger side and no springs on the pilot side. I have a long low tension spring between the pedals and firewall just to keep them from falling over when not in use. My cable routing is as described in the manual. Chris Zavatson N91CZ
