Simply stated.
1. 24 volt
systems can sometimes use smaller guage wire to save weight. This is
beneficial for large aircraft. On Legacies, 360s and other GA small
birds!! hmmm!!! Judgement call. 24 volt batteries are heavier
I think.
2. Some 24 volt
equipment is more costly than 12 volt
equipment
3. 12 volt batteries are more
common.
most guys I know use 12 volt systems.
