Your statement is correct if the "certified airplanes" option is the answer.  But let's not stop with the builder - that is only part of the problem since many insured "accidents" involve poor pilot judgement rather than equipment failure.  The worse case is the unprepared pilot that buys an exotically built experimental.
 
All my risks are calculated on an FAA approved whizz-wheel.
