   There is more than just a difference in the hardware between the standard flaps and outback type. The attachment points at the end of the two type flaps are different. That is, the inboard end of flap itself is constructed differently. I should know, I constructed my flaps per the construction manual (standard type) and then realized that the hardware would not work. Yes, I had the outback flap option but not the different construction manual for them! Not to worry, two months later, after the ripping the standard attachment points out and reconstruction, everything fit!
