I heard from an ES flyer this morning named Joe Mason, whose airplane is equipped with a Continential IO360 that has a left mag and a Lightspeed Engineering electronic ignition on the right.  On a recent flight after going through some precipitation he noticed that the power was down and that his airspeed had dropped some 20mph.  He apparently isolated the problem to the electronic ignition, although I am unsure of the exact measures he took to reach this determination.  I asked him about possible induction problems, something he hadn't considered, although at the time he was operating on unfiltered ram air which obviates the possibility of it being an air filter problem.  Rather than interjecting myself between Joe and a possible solution, I thought it might be nice if some of you out there who have experience with the Lightspeed ignition system and its quirks might give Joe a call to discuss his problem.  He's located in Tyler, TX, and his phone number is 903-825-3339. Tell him I told you to call.  You may be able to reach him at selahvs@aol.com, although that is his wife's email address and it isn't checked daily.  Joe is not an email user, so he isn't online with us.  I suspect your help will be greatly appreciated.
