Consider this:

 

A larvae, dropped from a bird worried by your impending presence,  entered the induction pathway and got stuck in one of the airflow sensing tubes in the throttle body venturi.  This caused a misinterpretation and an alteration of the fuel flow.  Over 48 seconds, accelerated air induced the metamorphasis a moth that then flew away!  Thus, conditions returned to normal.
