Lorn,
Aircraft Spruce Catalog states about $25 for the "new" sealed beam Q-4509
(
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/landinglites.php)
with the regular 4509 at about $10. I have replaced the
4509 light (I don't know if it is a "Q' or not), located in the cowling,
about every 2 years. The claim is that the Q bulb will last 4 times longer
- 100 hours vs 25. It seems that the halogen lasts "forever".
