Well now -- see attached.  My wife also drug me to Giant Eagle (the other
"local" grocery store) this afternoon, but they wanted $2.89 for a bag of
2 -- too rich for my blood.  I change the ones in my separator each annual
(type condition inspection), but the ones in my heat muff have been there
for 5 years.  I had the cowling off this morning and took a look.  Looked
like new.

Martell,

I think that you may be thinking of iron scrubber pads. I went into
over 30 grocery stores in the Detroit area and couldn't find any
stainless steel scrubber pads. I also could not find anyone who knew
where to get them. Believe me, I didn't want to spend the $130 that I
had to for 2 pads.

Your separator is full of oil the iron is not as critical as stuffing
your exhaust shroud. If you use iron in your exhaust shroud, it will
rust away in a very short time. I personally use the Scotch brand green
scrubber material in my separator.

I didn't try Wal*Mart. I will try there in the next week and report
back.
