I'm planning on a trip to Melrose Park, PA just after Christmas and
over New Years.
.
.
I compiled a list from AirNav.com of airports on the north side of
Philadelphia. KLOM Wings Field, N10 Collegeville, KDYL Doylestown,
KPTW Pottstown, N70 Pennridge, and N99 Brandywine. Any thoughts on
any of these?
Thanks in advance,
Hal Woodruff

KLOM was where the AOPA was founded many moons ago. I learned how to fly in NE Phily in the early 70's. I wouldn't want to comment on airports today except that KLOM was and always has been a nice, small plane friendly, airport.
What I would really suggest that you do is write down a few questions (crew cars, hanger availability, rental cars, local sights, landing and tie down fees, the name of the person that you are talking to) and call the FBO's and talk to them for a few minutes. This generally tells me what I need to know about their operation.
