That was critical for me since clecos did not properly hold the bearing assemblies in an immoble position when the rivets were squeezed. You need those bearings firmly together. An important point for me was finding some properly sized washers to insure there was even pressure on the bearings, not the assemblies (therefore the washers do not extend over the assemblies, just the bearings). The bearings have some ability to move in the assemblies so you want them aligned throughout the riveting. You know you have it right when the bolt just slips right out, when you are done. What ever you do, do not check to see that the bolt slides out until you have completed all of the rivets. You may not be able to get the alignment right again. I know it is not what you asked but I checked mine and did them per the Lancair assembly instructions which came with the bearings.
