Just an FYI for those of you who are using stainless steel braided hose:
- some people refer to braided hose as "hacksaw hose". I was told by a
service rep that it will, if not properly protected wear right through
engine mounts, spars and any things it contacts. I solved this problem on my
airplane by applying spiral electrical wrap to the hose wherever it contacts
anything (I had routing it under my spar..) my friend siliconed rubber hose
over his.
-the Sacramento Sky Ranch sells two types of braided Teflon cored hose that
they say are equivalent to aeroquip 666. One with a flexible core and one
with a solid core. make sure to specify which one you want before you order.
