Don't have any real help for you, but I will be taking delivery of a couple
of engine parts from Canada in a week or two in Sidney, British Columbia.
We've heard a similar story about needing a "customs agent", but have been
assured by my local friend who is our customs agent, that if I fly the
units into the country and they are not for resale, there won't be any
difficulties. I hope that's correct.
Obviously this is a different kettle of fish than yours, since Canada is
covered by NAFTA and we're taking delivery there vs. in the US.
Good luck, and I'll be interested to hear what you learn.
