Consider an aluminum Hartzell CS spinner kit from Aircraft Spruce. The Lancair glass spinner helped disintegrate the backplate several times during about 450 hours. With the kit spinner (includes hardware, bulkhead and backplate), you have many fitting options. I cut about 3/4 inch off, made a custom nylon forward bulkhead on a lathe and installed the Lancair doublers on the backplate. It polished up real nice.... I spent more time polishing it than in the building.
