Marv, I beleive that you only need an oil separator when your engine starts
burning oil. This certainly shouldn't be til at least 1000 hours or so. I
also have a residue on the bottom of my plane, but I beleive it is 95% fuel
exaust residue since it is white and I rarely burn2 Quarts of oil in 25
hours. On the other subject, Lycon moved my throttle-body from the rear of
the oil pan to the front for$125.00, and is was well worth it having it in
a much better position. Lycon is very busy and way behind,so plan ahead. As
to voiding the warrenty, How about discussing it with them first, you are
certainly not doing anything that would change the operation of the engine.
