Hi list:

I've been drilling holes in the Lancair supplied Fiberglass Instrument Panel for my 235 (switches/lights/breakers etc.) and I'm having a tough time getting good clean holes.  Most holes have delamination around the hole on the backside of the panel.  I've tried fast/slow drill speeds, backing up with wood blocks, brand new bosch drill bits, manual/drill press and still I've not hit upon the right combo to get a good clean hole all the way through.  It does look like the Lancair panel is made from a rather large weave fabric. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to get good clean holes?
