The deed is done. Thanks to all who made the
suggestion to move the pump from the firewall to under the seat.The job was not
to difficult as I was able to use the existing line from the selector valve to
forward of the firewall.The problem developed when I repositioned the pump it
began a small leak.(Just touch it and it breaks). No big deal since it was 9
years old and should be overhauled at 10, I took it to Dukes for an
overhaul.WORD TO THE WISE; Dukes was very accomidating, but charged $460.00 to
overhaul. Kit-planes charges $430 for a new one. Live and learn.Pump works great
now and primes immediately. PS. the drain (overboard fitting) must be on the
