Therefore, It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that today I have been duely examined by the FAA and have not been found lacking and, therefore, may continue to exercise the privileges bestowed upon the commercial pilot. I will confess, however, that I did suffer a little apprehension in this regard since my pilots certificate is so old that I can hardly read the printing on it anymore. The solution was to search out a very knowlegable CFI with the patience to teach an old dog things that he should have known and probably did, many moons ago. I had assumed that the time spent during my biannual flight reviews was sufficient to keep me up to speed with all the changing requirements. Not so!!! Anyway, the point that I am trying to get to is recurrent training. I was sorry to miss out on the opportunity to attend the first recurrent training seminar at Redmond. I hope that it was a success. Perhaps if others share my feeling in this regard, we could persuade Lancair to make it a permanent part of their Labor Day activity. What do you think??
